New Appointment: Accountant (Finance)
The National Heritage Council welcomes Mr Robert Lesiba Mokwena as Accountant (Finance).
Mr Mokwena is a seasoned finance professional with over 15 years of experience across the public and private sectors. His expertise includes financial management, auditing, taxation, cost and management accounting, budgeting, internal controls, and GRAP/IFRS-compliant financial reporting.
He is an Associate General Accountant (AGA) registered with SAICA, an ACCA Part-Qualified member, and a SARS-registered Tax Practitioner. His academic qualifications include a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (CTA), an Advanced Diploma in Accounting Sciences, and a BTech in Cost and Management Accounting. He is currently completing his ACCA Strategic Level and an MBA.
Mr Mokwena has held senior roles in both consultancy and public entities, including MNB Chartered Accountants, Chapu Chartered Accountants, Onderstepoort Biological Products SOC, and the Auditor-General of South Africa. He is recognised for strengthening audit outcomes, financial governance, and strategic decision-making.
