Funding for heritage projects now open

The public is called upon to submit applications for funding on heritage related projects. In this term, the National Heritage Council (NHC) is specifically interested in applications from provinces that have over the years benefited the least from the funding opportunity, which are Mpumalanga, North West, Limpopo, Free State and Northern Cape.  The closing date is 31 January 2017, 12h00.

Those who are interested in applying are advised to start now and not to leave it for later because there are a number of requirements and criteria set in order to successfully qualify for the requested funding. Also, the proposal will have to be well conceptualised and written. It will also be good to let another person review and advise on the strength of the proposal before it is submitted to the NHC.

The application form and more information is available from our website under the Funding page. You are welcome to send us an email if you require to interact with us: Documents and application forms can also be requested through calling us directly 012 348 1663 between 08:00 and 16:00 on weekdays.

Applicants are expected to meet all the funding requirements of the NHC as stipulated in the terms and conditions, Heritage Funding Policy and the Heritage Funding Guidelines which are available on our website together with the application form.
