The annual commemoration of Nkosi Ntsikayezwe Twenty-man Sigcau (1947–1996) will be attended by respected guests on 11 September 2015 at Ntabankulu Municipality Hall on 11 September 2015, 14h00 to 17h00. The main speaker will be Adv Sonwabile Mancotywa, the CEO of the National Heritage Council of South Africa.

Among the guest of honour that will be hosted by Nkosi Jongilanga Sigcau at the commemoration is Vusie Mgoduka, Mayor of Ntabankulu,    Ms Simone Smith, Maritime Economist at CSIR, and HE Mdladlana, SA High Commissioner to Canada.

This day is especially significant in global history for the destruction of the Twin Towers in America and also that south Africa is unveiling a monument of the Matola raid that happened in Mozambique where many lost their lives in1981.

Chief Sigcau is also commemorated as no stranger to the liberation struggle of South Africa. He was very vocal on articulating his political convictions and very defiant, organising some of the boycotts, establishing a strong bases in the Transkei, hiding some of the political activists who were wanted by the colonial authorities in Mpondoland, in Ntabankulu in particular, arrested many times for his political beliefs. His history and involvement in the apartheid era is worth documenting for the coming generations.
